Responsibilities
- Analyze federal regulations (VA, 38 CFR, and OMB guidelines) to ensure program compliance
- Conduct remote audits of veterans' benefit applications for accuracy and adherence to policiesDevelop corrective action plans for non-compliance findings and track implementation
- Collaborate with legal teams to interpret complex federal statutes affecting veterans' services
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for senior leadership and congressional oversight committees
- Train staff on updated federal compliance protocols and procedural changes
- Monitor emerging legislation and regulatory changes impacting veterans' programs
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship (mandatory for federal employment)
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Law, or related field
- 3+ years of federal compliance/regulatory experience
- Proficiency with federal audit methodologies (OMB Circular A-123)
- Knowledge of veterans' benefits programs (VA claims process preferred)
- Security clearance eligibility (ability to obtain Secret clearance)
- Advanced analytical skills with regulatory interpretation experience
- Remote work proficiency using GSuite and federal systems (e.g., VA VISTA)
