Responsibilities
- Oversee all official city records, ordinances, and council minutes with meticulous accuracy
- Manage municipal elections, voter registration, and certification processes
- Administer public records requests and ensure compliance with Kentucky Open Records Act
- Coordinate city council agendas, meetings, and public hearing documentation
- Maintain municipal code updates and legal document archives
- Serve as custodian of the city seal and official documentation
- Lead public engagement initiatives for transparency and accessibility
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years municipal government or records management experience
- Expert knowledge of Kentucky Revised Statutes and election laws
- Advanced proficiency in records management systems (e.g., Laserfiche, SharePoint)
- Strong written communication skills with attention to legal precision
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
- Experience managing public records requests and FOIA compliance
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information
