Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce compliance with federal healthcare regulations (HIPAA, VA directives)
- Conduct internal audits and risk assessments for veteran service programs
- Develop and implement corrective action plans for compliance gaps
- Collaborate with legal and medical teams on policy updates
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for leadership and regulatory bodies
- Train staff on new regulations and procedural changes
- Manage vendor contracts for regulatory adherence
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Policy, or related field
- Minimum 3 years federal compliance experience
- VA/Federal healthcare certification preferred
- Expert knowledge of HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and VA directives
- Strong analytical and audit skills
- Ability to handle sensitive veteran data with discretion
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain one
