Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of federal contracts, including proposal development, negotiation, and closeout.
- Ensure strict compliance with FAR, DFARS, and other regulatory frameworks.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, government officials, and clients.
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and contract vehicles.
- Prepare and review contract documents to mitigate risk and ensure contractual obligations are met.
- Coordinate with project managers and technical teams to align contract scope with deliverables.
- Track contract performance metrics and prepare monthly status reports for senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in federal, state, or local government contracting.
- Strong knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to persuade and negotiate.
- Proficiency in contract management software (e.g., Salesforce, SAP Ariba) and MS Office Suite.
- Certification as a Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM) or similar is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
