Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze network traffic for security threats using advanced SIEM tools
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal systems
- Develop incident response protocols and lead cyber incident investigations
- Prepare detailed security reports for congressional briefings and agency leadership
- Coordinate with federal partners including FBI, NSA, and Cyber Command
- Implement NIST and FISMA compliance frameworks across classified systems
- Mentor junior analysts and conduct security awareness training
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Top Secret security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years experience in network security or incident response
- Certification in CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+
- Proficiency in Splunk, Wireshark, and vulnerability scanners
- Familiarity with federal compliance frameworks (NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and zero-trust architecture
- Strong analytical writing skills for technical reports
