Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security threats across federal networks using advanced SIEM tools
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical systems
- Develop incident response plans and coordinate mitigation efforts during security breaches
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to implement NIST compliance frameworks
- Prepare detailed security reports for leadership and congressional briefings
- Train federal employees on cybersecurity best practices and protocols
Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance (Top Secret preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years experience in federal cybersecurity operations
- Certification in CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+
- Expertise in threat intelligence platforms (e.g., Splunk, CrowdStrike)
- Strong understanding of FISMA and FedRAMP requirements
- Ability to work independently in remote environment with minimal supervision
