Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security systems 24/7 to detect and respond to cyber threats and anomalies.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal networks.
- Execute incident response procedures to mitigate security breaches and restore system integrity.
- Configure and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM tools to enforce security policies.
- Document all security activities, incidents, and compliance requirements accurately.
- Collaborate with federal partners to share intelligence and enhance collective security.
Qualifications
- United States Citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Active CISSP, Security+, or GSEC certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or network defense.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, OSI models, and federal security frameworks (NIST, FedRAMP).
