Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex federal information systems and network architectures.
- Ensure compliance with federal security regulations, including NIST and FISMA standards.
- Conduct system vulnerability assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software and hardware solutions.
- Manage system documentation and configuration management processes.
- Respond to and resolve critical system outages with minimal downtime.
Qualifications
- Active Secret or Top Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, preferably within the federal sector.
- Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) and virtualization platforms.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity protocols and risk management frameworks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
