Role Overview:
The Federal Cybersecurity Analyst will monitor, detect, and respond to security threats targeting federal networks. You will serve as the first line of defense in our Security Operations Center (SOC), ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive data.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security events within the federal SOC environment in real-time.
- Conduct incident response and triage for potential cyber threats and breaches.
- Manage and maintain SIEM dashboards and alerting mechanisms (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel).
- Perform vulnerability assessments and support remediation efforts for federal assets.
- Document security incidents, trends, and post-incident reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with federal regulations (e.g., NIST, FISMA).
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance (or ability to obtain).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in federal cybersecurity, network defense, or SOC operations.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Experience with SIEM tools and log analysis.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a high-pressure environment.
