Responsibilities
- Safeguard classified systems against cyber attacks using advanced threat detection protocols
- Implement NIST and FISMA-compliant security frameworks across federal networks
- Lead incident response coordination during security breaches and cyber emergencies
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure
- Develop security awareness programs for federal employees and contractors
- Collaborate with FBI, NSA, and CISA on joint cybersecurity initiatives
- Monitor 24/7 security operations center (SOC) alerts and threat intelligence feeds
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years experience in federal IT security or DoD cybersecurity roles
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ (within 6 months of hire)
- Expertise in network security tools (Splunk, Palo Alto, CrowdStrike)
- Knowledge of CMMC and FedRAMP compliance frameworks
- Ability to obtain and maintain DHS suitability clearance
- Strong analytical skills and crisis management experience
