Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced cybersecurity defense systems for federal networks
- Lead incident response operations during security breaches and cyber attacks
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop and maintain security policies compliant with federal regulations (NIST, FISMA)
- Coordinate with federal partners on threat intelligence sharing
- Mentor junior cybersecurity professionals
- Stay current with emerging cyber threats and mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of cybersecurity experience with federal systems
- Active CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification
- Expertise in network security, incident response, and risk assessment
- Knowledge of federal compliance frameworks (NIST SP 800-53, FISMA)
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
