Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze federal networks for security vulnerabilities and cyber threats
- Implement and maintain advanced intrusion detection/prevention systems
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents and breach attempts
- Develop and execute cybersecurity incident response plans
- Collaborate with federal agencies to share threat intelligence
- Ensure compliance with FISMA, NIST, and other federal security standards
- Train federal staff on cybersecurity best practices
Qualifications
- Active U.S. government security clearance (or ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of cybersecurity experience in federal/government sector
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or CompTIA Security+
- Expertise in threat detection tools (Splunk, SIEM, etc.)
- Strong understanding of federal IT security frameworks
- Ability to work rotating shifts and respond to emergencies
