Responsibilities
- Implement advanced cybersecurity protocols to protect federal networks and systems
- Monitor and respond to security incidents using SIEM tools and threat intelligence
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security policies compliant with NIST and FISMA standards
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams during cyber incident response
- Lead security awareness training for federal employees
- Manage encryption and access control systems for sensitive data
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security roles
- Active CISSP, CEH, or Security+ certification (DoD 8570 compliant)
- Expertise in network security, incident response, and threat analysis
- Experience with federal security frameworks (NIST, FISMA, CUI)
- Strong knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and zero-trust architecture
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
