Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret complex veteran healthcare datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies
- Develop and maintain automated data pipelines for real-time reporting and dashboard creation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and deliver actionable insights
- Ensure compliance with federal data privacy regulations (HIPAA, FISMA) and security protocols
- Create compelling visualizations and reports for executive leadership and agency stakeholders
- Validate data integrity across multiple systems and implement quality control measures
- Stay current with federal data analytics best practices and emerging technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of professional data analysis experience with federal/government datasets
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and R statistical programming
- Expertise in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, D3.js)
- Strong understanding of statistical modeling and machine learning techniques
- Experience with ETL processes and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Knowledge of federal data regulations (HIPAA, FISMA, 21st Century Cures Act)
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills and ability to present complex data clearly
