Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret large-scale federal datasets using SQL, Python, and R to support agency objectives
- Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau/Power BI for government stakeholders
- Ensure strict adherence to federal data governance standards (FISMA, HIPAA, NIST)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify trends and anomalies in security/socioeconomic data
- Document methodologies and maintain audit trails for all analytical processes
- Present findings to senior leadership through concise executive summaries
- Stay current on evolving federal data regulations and compliance requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience with federal or government data analysis
- Expert proficiency in SQL and at least one statistical programming language (Python/R)
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik)
- Familiarity with federal compliance frameworks (FISMA, HIPAA, 21 CFR Part 11)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Strong attention to detail with demonstrated problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills for translating technical insights to non-technical audiences
