Responsibilities
- Analyze complex federal datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable intelligence for homeland security operations
- Develop and maintain automated data pipelines using SQL, Python, and R to process large-scale government information
- Create interactive visualizations and comprehensive reports for senior leadership using Tableau and Power BI
- Ensure compliance with federal data standards (FISMA, NIST, HIPAA) and security protocols
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to support border security, disaster response, and counterterrorism efforts
- Present findings to congressional committees and federal stakeholders through concise executive briefings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience with federal data systems and government compliance requirements
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and statistical analysis tools
- Expertise in data visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI) and dashboard development
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain Secret clearance within 90 days
- Experience working with DHS, CBP, or other federal law enforcement datasets preferred
- Certification in data analytics (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, Google Data Analytics) or equivalent
