Responsibilities
- Provide 24/7 Tier 3 technical support for federal hardware and software systems during weekend shifts.
- Monitor and maintain network infrastructure to ensure 100% uptime for critical government applications.
- Execute security patches and updates on servers and workstations in compliance with federal standards (NIST).
- Diagnose and resolve complex hardware malfunctions, ensuring rapid incident resolution.
- Document all technical interventions and maintain detailed incident reports for auditing purposes.
- Collaborate with on-site teams during weekdays to coordinate maintenance schedules and system upgrades.
- Conduct preliminary security assessments to identify vulnerabilities in local systems.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certifications: Active CompTIA Security+ or higher; Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional IT support experience, preferably within a government or enterprise environment.
- Clearance: Must be eligible for a Public Trust or Secret Security Clearance.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and Linux environments.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Availability: Must be available to work exclusively on weekends (Friday - Sunday).
