Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain federal cybersecurity protocols for veteran health records
- Conduct weekend vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Monitor security infrastructure 24/7 with weekend on-call rotation
- Document security incidents and remediation actions
- Train staff on NIST and FISMA compliance standards
- Collaborate with federal agencies on threat intelligence sharing
Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field
- 3+ years experience with federal IT security frameworks
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification
- Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, ArcSight)
- Familiarity with HIPAA and CUI regulations
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts
