Responsibilities
- Advanced Data Analysis: Collect, clean, and analyze large-scale federal datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that support mission-critical objectives.
- Reporting & Visualization: Design and maintain complex dashboards and interactive reports using Tableau, Power BI, or Python libraries to communicate findings to senior leadership.
- Compliance & Integrity: Ensure all data handling processes adhere to strict federal regulations, including NIST standards, FedRAMP, and OMB guidelines.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with subject matter experts and policy makers to define data requirements and translate technical findings into strategic recommendations.
- Data Architecture Support: Collaborate with IT teams to optimize data pipelines, improve data quality, and ensure seamless integration across federal systems.
- Documentation: Create detailed technical documentation, data dictionaries, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for data analysis processes.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data analysis within the federal government or defense contracting sector.
- Certifications: Active Secret or Top Secret clearance (or the ability to obtain one) is required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL for complex querying, Python or R for statistical analysis, and experience with data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI).
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of federal data structures, data privacy laws (GDPR/CCPA), and information security frameworks.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical audiences.
