Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
- Lead the full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing for large-scale IT deployments.
- Manage cross-functional teams of developers, business analysts, and subject matter experts to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while implementing robust mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate stakeholder communication and manage expectations across all levels of government.
- Ensure compliance with Texas state procurement policies and IT governance frameworks.
- Mentor junior project managers and contribute to the continuous improvement of project management methodologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in IT project management within the public sector or large enterprise.
- Professional Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.
- Strong proficiency in Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven experience with budget management and resource allocation.
