Responsibilities
- Data Mining & Analysis: Collect, clean, and analyze large-scale federal datasets using SQL, Python, and R to identify trends and patterns.
- Visualization: Design and maintain interactive dashboards (Tableau, PowerBI, or Qlik) to visualize key performance indicators for agency leadership.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed, accurate reports and technical briefings for federal stakeholders, ensuring compliance with all reporting standards.
- Compliance: Ensure data integrity, security, and strict adherence to federal regulations, privacy laws, and security protocols.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize data workflows and identify areas for operational efficiency.
- Root Cause Analysis: Investigate data discrepancies and perform root cause analysis to improve system accuracy and reliability.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in federal data analysis or a related government sector role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL (advanced querying), Python, and data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, or Qlik).
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of federal acquisition regulations, reporting standards, and data governance principles.
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance (or equivalent) is required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for translating complex data into understandable insights for non-technical audiences.
