Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and analyze large-scale datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies relevant to federal projects.
- Develop and maintain complex statistical models and reports to support decision-making processes for federal agencies.
- Ensure strict adherence to federal data governance standards, security protocols, and compliance requirements (e.g., FISMA, NIST).
- Create compelling data visualizations and dashboards using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or SAS to present findings to senior leadership.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex data into understandable business insights and strategic recommendations.
- Perform quality assurance testing on data pipelines and reporting systems to minimize errors and maximize reliability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Public Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the federal government or a government contracting environment.
- Proficiency in SQL for querying databases and experience with statistical programming languages (Python, R, or SAS).
- Strong knowledge of data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik) and reporting software.
- Understanding of federal regulations, privacy laws, and information security standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
