Role Overview:
As a Federal Data Analyst, you will be responsible for gathering, cleaning, and analyzing large volumes of data to support federal program operations. You will work closely with government stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver reports that meet strict compliance standards.
Responsibilities
- Analyze complex federal datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and key performance indicators.
- Develop and maintain interactive data visualization dashboards using Tableau or PowerBI for executive stakeholders.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal regulations, including FISMA, NIST, and OMB guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical data solutions.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and briefing materials for congressional and executive audiences.
- Perform data validation and quality assurance checks to guarantee data accuracy.
- Maintain and update documentation for data pipelines and analytical processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in data analysis within the federal sector or defense contracting.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation; experience with Python or R is highly preferred.
- Current Top Secret security clearance is required (or ability to obtain one).
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting.
