Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain electronic health record systems (EHR) in accordance with HIPAA and VA regulations
- Oversee health data integrity through quality control audits and compliance monitoring
- Coordinate with clinical teams to implement health information workflows
- Train staff on health information systems and privacy protocols
- Lead system upgrades and integration projects for health information platforms
- Develop policies and procedures for health data security and accessibility
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field
- RHIA or RHIT certification required
- Minimum 3 years' experience with EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Demonstrated knowledge of HIPAA and federal health data regulations
- Experience with health data analytics and reporting tools
- Strong project management skills with federal IT initiatives
- Ability to obtain and maintain VA security clearance
