Responsibilities
- Oversee the full-cycle recruitment process for part-time federal positions, including job posting, resume screening, and interview coordination.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal hiring regulations, EEO policies, and merit-based hiring principles.
- Manage employee records, including personnel files, leave requests, and performance documentation, ensuring 100% accuracy.
- Assist in the administration of federal benefits, such as health insurance, retirement plans (FERS), and leave management.
- Provide guidance to management and staff regarding HR policies, procedures, and federal labor laws.
- Coordinate onboarding activities for new hires to facilitate a smooth integration into the federal workforce.
- Utilize HRIS systems to generate reports and analyze workforce data for organizational improvement.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Public Administration, or a related field is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources, with specific experience in government or federal contracting environments preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of federal employment laws, OPM regulations, and the merit-based hiring process.
- Proficiency in using HR software (e.g., PeopleSoft, Workday) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
- Must be available to work part-time hours (20-25 hours per week) and adhere to the federal government work schedule.
