Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance and troubleshooting of federal computer systems and networks to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive federal information and maintain compliance with CUI regulations.
- Conduct regular system audits and vulnerability assessments to identify potential security risks.
- Provide technical support and training to federal staff regarding software applications and hardware systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies into existing federal workflows.
- Document technical configurations, incident reports, and system changes in accordance with federal standards.
- Respond to emergency IT incidents and coordinate with external vendors for hardware repairs.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship required for federal employment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Active Security Clearance (Secret or Top Secret preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in IT support or systems administration within the public sector.
- Proficiency in networking concepts, virtualization, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Strong understanding of federal regulations (NIST, FISMA) and data privacy laws.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
