Responsibilities
- Manage and troubleshoot complex federal information systems and networks to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity protocols in compliance with FedRAMP and NIST standards.
- Conduct regular system audits and vulnerability assessments to protect sensitive government data.
- Provide technical support and training to federal staff on new software and hardware implementations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative IT solutions for federal clients.
- Document all system configurations, security incidents, and maintenance logs accurately.
- Monitor system performance and proactively address potential outages or security breaches.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT systems administration or network engineering within a federal environment.
- Active Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent military experience).
- Knowledge of federal regulations, including FISMA and NIST 800-53.
- Proficiency in configuring firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical reporting.
