Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain federal IT systems including network infrastructure, cybersecurity protocols, and data management platforms
- Provide immediate technical support for VA healthcare systems and veteran-facing applications
- Implement disaster recovery solutions and ensure system compliance with federal regulations (FISMA, HIPAA)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize IT service delivery for veteran care programs
- Document system configurations, security protocols, and operational procedures
- Conduct regular system audits and vulnerability assessments
- Train staff on new IT systems and security best practices
Qualifications
- Active U.S. government security clearance (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 3+ years of experience with federal IT systems and infrastructure
- Expertise in cybersecurity protocols, network management, and data protection
- Proficiency with VA-specific systems (VistA, Cerner) or equivalent healthcare IT platforms
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to work under pressure in mission-critical environments
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent cybersecurity certification required
