Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor federal IT infrastructure and networks during assigned weekend shifts.
- Perform system patching, updates, and security hardening in accordance with federal guidelines (FISMA).
- Respond to and resolve critical technical incidents and service tickets outside of standard business hours.
- Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with NIST standards.
- Document system configurations, incident reports, and maintenance logs for audit trails.
- Collaborate with on-call support teams to ensure seamless handover of operations.
- Enforce access control policies and ensure data confidentiality for sensitive federal records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Active Secret Security Clearance or higher (TS/SCI preferred).
- Experience with federal IT systems, cloud environments (AWS/Azure), and legacy mainframes.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cybersecurity frameworks, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable background investigation.
- Experience working in a 24/7 operations environment or weekend shift schedules.
