Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and implement local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) to support federal operations.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain complex network hardware and software systems to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Implement and enforce cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive federal data from cyber threats and unauthorized access.
- Conduct network performance analysis and capacity planning to support growing organizational needs.
- Provide advanced technical support and training to federal staff and external contractors.
- Document network architecture, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
- Citizenship Requirement: United States Citizenship is mandatory.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Certification: Active CompTIA Security+ (or higher) certification is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible IT experience in a federal or high-security environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Cisco, Juniper, or similar network equipment and protocols.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with diverse teams.
