Role Overview
The selected candidate will perform essential IT support functions, ensuring data integrity and system availability during non-standard business hours. This position is perfect for a tech-savvy professional looking for the security of federal employment with the specific schedule of a weekend shift.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain federal IT systems and networks during weekend shifts to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Perform routine system backups, updates, and security patches for federal databases.
- Respond to Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support tickets from federal personnel within SLA guidelines.
- Conduct physical and logical security audits of workstations and server rooms.
- Document all technical issues, resolutions, and system changes in the CMDB.
- Assist in the deployment of new hardware and software solutions for federal clients.
- Collaborate with the on-call team lead to escalate complex infrastructure issues.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for a government security clearance.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in IT support or a related federal technology role.
- Schedule: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and holidays as required.
- Education: Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and basic networking protocols.
- Clearance: Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one.
