Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable network infrastructure solutions that meet state standards.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and ensure high availability of services.
- Enforce cybersecurity protocols, conduct vulnerability assessments, and respond to security incidents.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy systems and improve operational efficiency.
- Provide advanced technical support, training, and guidance to junior staff and agency partners.
- Document technical processes and maintain accurate configuration records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in network engineering, systems administration, or IT infrastructure management.
- Certifications such as CCNP, CCNA, Security+, or CISSP are highly preferred.
- Experience working with or understanding state/federal government IT standards and compliance (e.g., FISMA, NIST).
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python or Bash) and database management (SQL).
