Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex network infrastructure for state government agencies.
- Oversee server maintenance, patching, and system upgrades to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues in real-time.
- Enforce strict security protocols to protect sensitive government data and comply with federal regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy systems and improve efficiency.
- Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to mitigate potential threats.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration or network engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Experience with network protocols, firewalls, and cloud services (AWS/Azure preferred).
- Ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearances.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
