Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain NIST-compliant cybersecurity frameworks across federal systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified networks
- Develop incident response protocols for cyber threats targeting critical infrastructure
- Coordinate with federal agencies to ensure compliance with FISMA and CUI regulations
- Lead security awareness training programs for federal employees
- Manage encryption protocols and access control systems
- Generate comprehensive security compliance reports for DHS leadership
Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance (required)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on IT security experience in federal/government environment
- CompTIA Security+ CE certification (or equivalent)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and vulnerability scanners
- Knowledge of FedRAMP and NIST SP 800-53 standards
- Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory administration
- Ability to obtain DHS Suitability Determination
