Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain NIST cybersecurity frameworks across federal IT systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified networks
- Develop incident response protocols and lead security breach mitigation
- Manage identity and access control systems (e.g., Active Directory, Okta)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security architecture projects
- Stay current on evolving threats and regulatory compliance requirements
- Train staff on security best practices and policy adherence
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in IT security with federal government or regulated industry experience
- Active CISSP or Security+ certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Knowledge of FISMA, FedRAMP, and NIST SP 800-53 standards
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerization technologies
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
