Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain federal IT security protocols across classified and unclassified systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on agency infrastructure
- Develop incident response plans and lead cybersecurity investigations
- Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and federal cybersecurity frameworks
- Train federal staff on security best practices and threat awareness
- Collaborate with cross-agency cybersecurity task forces
- Monitor security systems and respond to real-time threats 24/7
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Secret clearance (required)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years experience in IT security with federal systems
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent certification
- Expertise in network security, encryption, and threat analysis
- Experience with SIEM tools and federal security reporting
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal IT compliance standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
