Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network equipment for state employees.
- Monitor and maintain local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) for optimal performance.
- Implement and enforce cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive government data.
- Provide technical support and training to staff regarding new technologies and systems.
- Perform regular system backups, updates, and disaster recovery planning.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve complex technical issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in systems administration or IT support.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and networking protocols (TCP/IP).
- CompTIA Security+ certification is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a government setting.
