Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain robust cybersecurity protocols for federal systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified networks
- Monitor security alerts and respond to incidents within federal frameworks
- Develop and execute disaster recovery plans ensuring business continuity
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams on national security initiatives
- Stay current on evolving cyber threats and regulatory compliance (FISMA, NIST)
- Mentor junior staff on cybersecurity best practices and protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years in IT security with federal/government clearance
- CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Expertise in network security tools (SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and zero-trust architectures
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance
- Strong analytical skills with incident response experience
