Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain NIST-compliant cybersecurity frameworks across federal systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for classified networks
- Manage incident response protocols for cybersecurity threats
- Develop security policies and training programs for federal employees
- Collaborate with FBI, NSA, and other federal agencies on threat intelligence
- Oversee compliance with FISMA, HIPAA, and federal security regulations
- Lead cross-functional teams during security audits and remediation projects
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and active federal security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years experience in IT security with federal government experience
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CISM certification required
- Expertise in network security, encryption, and threat detection systems
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and vulnerability scanners
- Demonstrated experience with federal compliance frameworks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities under pressure
