Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain federal IT security protocols (NIST, FISMA)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Monitor security incidents using SIEM platforms
- Develop incident response and disaster recovery plans
- Manage user access controls and identity management
- Collaborate with cross-agency security teams
- Stay current with evolving cyber threats and compliance requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 5+ years experience in federal IT security roles
- Active Security+ CE certification
- Experience with DoD-approved security tools (Splunk, Palo Alto)
- Familiarity with RMF (Risk Management Framework)
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance
