Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis, design, and implementation of complex software solutions and IT systems enhancements.
- Manage the Agile/Scrum development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality code and documentation.
- Conduct thorough system requirements analysis and translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, and city department heads.
- Maintain and improve system security protocols to comply with state and federal regulations.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior analysts and junior developers.
- Perform root cause analysis for system outages and implement long-term technical fixes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in systems analysis, software development, or IT project management.
- Experience working in a government, public sector, or large enterprise environment.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Java, Python, or similar programming languages.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or ITIL Foundation certification is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Security Clearance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder presentations.
