Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 Technical Support: Resolve complex hardware and software issues for government staff during evening hours.
- Network Monitoring: Proactively monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Security Compliance: Assist in maintaining strict adherence to government security protocols and data privacy regulations.
- Incident Management: Log and manage helpdesk tickets using ITSM software, prioritizing critical issues.
- Hardware Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance, updates, and asset inventory for workstations and peripherals.
- Remote Support: Offer remote assistance to off-site personnel when necessary.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of IT support experience in a corporate or government environment.
- Night Shift Availability: Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 5 PM - 2 AM).
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, and networking protocols.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
