Responsibilities
- Develop and implement cybersecurity policies compliant with NIST and FISMA standards
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal systems
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, ArcSight)
- Lead incident response coordination during security breaches
- Train federal staff on security best practices and phishing awareness
- Manage security audits and compliance documentation
- Collaborate with CISA and other federal agencies on threat intelligence sharing
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance (mandatory)
- 5+ years in IT security with federal government experience
- Certification in CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+
- Expertise in Windows/Linux system hardening and network security
- Knowledge of FedRAMP and DoD cybersecurity frameworks
- Experience with SIEM tools and threat detection methodologies
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- Ability to obtain DHS Suitability clearance
