Responsibilities
- Manage and secure federal IT infrastructure: Oversee the daily operations of server environments, network systems, and hardware to ensure maximum uptime and security.
- Ensure compliance with federal standards: Implement and maintain controls in accordance with FISMA, NIST, and other relevant federal regulations.
- Provide technical support: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues for internal staff and external federal clients.
- Project implementation: Lead the deployment of new software applications, security patches, and system upgrades.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate technical documentation, including configuration management plans and incident reports.
- Collaborate with stakeholders: Work closely with program managers and government customers to align IT solutions with mission objectives.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a related role.
- Certifications: Active Secret clearance or willingness to undergo a background investigation. CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or similar certifications are highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and network security protocols.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime, to meet mission-critical deadlines.
