As a Federal IT Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of our state and federal data systems. We pride ourselves on innovation and efficiency, and we are looking for a candidate who is eager to tackle complex challenges in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and internet systems.
- Implement and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, and information.
- Configure and troubleshoot hardware and software issues for federal and state employees.
- Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Provide technical support and training to staff regarding new software and hardware installations.
- Collaborate with external vendors to ensure optimal system performance and security.
- Document all system changes and maintain accurate technical records.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support or network administration within a government or large enterprise environment.
- Valid CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and networking protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
