Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex software applications using modern frameworks and programming languages.
- Lead a team of developers and engineers to ensure high code quality, adherence to standards, and timely project delivery.
- Conduct system architecture reviews and implement robust security measures to protect sensitive government data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define technical requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- troubleshoot and resolve critical system outages and technical issues with minimal downtime.
- Mentor junior staff members and conduct technical training sessions to foster team growth.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices to drive innovation within the department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in software development, system administration, or IT management.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder presentations.
- Must be a US Citizen or hold a valid permanent work permit.
