Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain federal IT infrastructure, ensuring 99.9% uptime for critical systems.
- Enforce strict data security protocols and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, FISMA).
- Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot hardware and software solutions across federal networks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technical requirements and implement solutions.
- Document system configurations, security policies, and incident reports in accordance with federal guidelines.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to mitigate risks.
- Provide technical support and training to federal personnel on system usage and security best practices.
Qualifications
- Active Secret or Top Secret clearance (must be willing to undergo investigation).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in federal government or defense contracting environments.
- Professional certification such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or ITIL Foundation.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing network devices (routers, switches, firewalls).
- Strong knowledge of federal regulations regarding information security and data privacy.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently under strict deadlines.
