Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor security measures for the protection of the organization's computer systems and networks.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify potential risks.
- Respond to and mitigate cybersecurity incidents and threats in real-time to minimize downtime.
- Configure, manage, and maintain firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Develop, maintain, and update security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the security of software development and deployment processes.
- Provide technical support and training to staff regarding cybersecurity best practices and protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent specialized experience).
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in network administration, cybersecurity, or information technology.
- Eligibility for a U.S. Federal Government security clearance (Secret or Top Secret).
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and security frameworks (e.g., NIST, CISSP).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting technical processes.
