Job Summary
The selected candidate will be responsible for the analysis, design, development, and implementation of advanced information technology systems. You will ensure the security, integrity, and efficiency of federal networks while supporting critical agency missions.
Responsibilities
- System Administration: Manage, monitor, and maintain federal IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and databases to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Security Compliance: Implement and enforce federal security protocols (NIST, FISMA) to protect sensitive government data and systems.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues for federal staff and stakeholders.
- Project Management: Lead IT projects from conception through deployment, ensuring adherence to budget and timeline constraints.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed technical documentation, system configurations, and change logs in compliance with federal standards.
- Cybersecurity: Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security risks.
- Training: Provide technical training and support to junior staff and non-technical federal employees.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field. (Equivalent technical experience may be substituted).
- Certifications: Active CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA, or CISSP is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support, network administration, or systems engineering within a federal or government environment.
- Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance is required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization technologies.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
