Role Overview:
The Federal IT Specialist will be responsible for the full lifecycle of IT infrastructure management, ensuring the security and availability of federal systems. You will work directly with government clients to solve complex technical challenges and ensure compliance with federal regulations.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure federal information systems and networks.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to ensure compliance with NIST and FedRAMP standards.
- Provide Tier 3 technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Collaborate with government stakeholders to define technical requirements and deliverables.
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, change logs, and incident reports.
- Ensure strict adherence to security protocols, ITIL practices, and Federal IT regulations (FISMA).
Qualifications
- Citizenship Requirement: United States Citizenship is mandatory for this position (Public Trust Clearance eligibility).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal or government IT environments.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent years of experience).
- Security Clearance: Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with Polygraph (or the ability to obtain one).
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent advanced certifications.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure).
